Description: 

18+. In this creative class you will enter an open and supportive atmosphere when learning MIXED MEDIA painting. Mixed media has become an important art form, a perfect metaphor for our globally-interconnected, complex relationships. We shall playfully explore its depths and gifts of utter plasticity. Working on canvas, using acrylic paints, ink, art pencils, paper and textural elements, our designs will be using tested techniques and layering methods.

Most importantly, your instructor will show you how to effectively tap into the resources of your imagination and visually "translate" your thoughts and feelings using creative tools and very fun "tricks of the trade."

While hosting our class in a gorgeous, 100+ yr. old, historic gem-of-a-building should add to your experience, the entire course is crafted to boost your awareness of the so-called "creative-process" where ideas and distinct styles bloom and solidify. You will be supported throughout and your uniqueness rewarded. You shall also discover a refreshing release when creating, its boundless language of expression and its playful innovation where "anything goes" paves the way.

Students of all skills are welcomed. Eve Hayes instructs. Students purchase their own art supplies (a few paint colors, brushes, a rag, charcoal or ink, canvas, tape, glue) A detailed list will be sent to student prior to first day of class. The instructor supplies the rest of needed tools and supplies. Don't forget to include your email on your registration!
