Winter 2022 Ceramics Independent Studio - At Home, has a prerequisite of having taken a minimum of 2 ceramics classes at the Ann Arbor Art Center. If you have not taken ceramics classes at the A2AC before this class option is not available. Please see our other ceramics class offerings that might be a better fit.
Ceramics Independent Studio - At Home, provides a unique opportunity to make work at home and bring what you have created into the Ann Arbor Art Center for processing. Ceramics Independent Studio - At Home, is designed for those who have experience working with clay and understand ALL aspects of the ceramics process, making thru glazing. No instruction is provided. This class is not intended for beginning students. Your registration is for one adult 18 years of age or older.
Ceramics Independent Studio - At Home does not include ANY use of Ann Arbor Art Center equipment. You will not have access to the Pottery Wheels, Slab Roller, Bats, Bat holders, Wedging Tables, Molds, or Studio Tools.
Your Ceramics Independent Studio - At Home registration fee includes:
All firing costs and glazing supplies related to processing your work. Clay must be purchased separately. You can do this in our A2AC gallery shop during business hours or in the online shop.
The Ann Arbor Art Center will ONLY process pieces made from the clay purchased through the Art Center. Outside clays and unknown materials cannot be processed at our facility. The Ceramics Studio staff reserves the right to reject pieces that could cause damage to other objects or equipment during the firing process.

Covid-19 Policy:
Adult An-Home Independent Studio students entering the A2AC to glaze their projects, must be vaccinated and wearing a mask over their nose and mouth while in the studio. Students must stop at the front desk and show their vaccination card before entering the studio.
