Description

History of the Ats | Visual Arts by Olivier Bodart

March 10, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

The destruction from War and the demographic growth (Baby Boom) in France called for reconstruction. Rebuilding with required urgency, according to Le Corbusier, was met with a different disposition for designs of individual houses and large complexes. This workshop will illustrate challenges from the era through sample works of architects Le Corbusier and Auguste Perret, and applied small architectural exercises.

Born in Paris, Olivier Bodart graduated with a masters degree in graphic design and art science from Sorbonne University. He taught History of the arts and Visual arts for fifteen years in Paris before moving to the US. Bodart is an internationally exhibited visual artist.
