Art and Alterity: "Why paint?"
Round table discussion following a presentation by David Pagel.
With the generous support of the American Institute for Levinassian Studies and Heritage Fine Wines, the Alliance Française de Los Angeles brings together an art critic and an artist working in Los Angles in the field of art for a round table discussion. We will address painting from a sociological and philosophical point of view, as communication and as aesthetics, including Levinas' misgivings about images.
Followed by wine testing and cocktail
