Description:
The Nitty Gritty of Clay: Instruction for beginning and intermediate Ceramics taught by an experienced teacher. This will be a structure class with students working on personalizing basic projects that are led by the instructor during weekly Zoom meetings. Projects are created in stages and may take more than one week to complete. Previous experience not necessary. Willingness to have Fun is required.
Students will receive a basic set of pottery tools, plus 2 sticks for rolling slabs, clay and clear cone 5 glaze. Kiln firings included with the fee. There will be 2 bisque firings (Cone 05) and 2 glaze firings (Cone 5) done at Mastick Senior Center. The last glaze firing will be done after the Zoom portion of the class ends.
Projects have a ten inch height and width limit.
$10 supply fee via check is due to instructor at the time of supplies pick up
