Description

Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that's done while seated or using a chair for balance. Chair yoga poses are adaptations of traditional poses to make yoga more accessible to those who prefer the accomodation of a chair. Chair yoga has been known to improve posture, increase flexibility and improve balance while avoiding injury. The flow of poses will include breathing, relaxation and mindfulness techniques offered in a noncompetitive, relaxed environment. Expect to leave the class feeling refreshed; with an open heart and mind.

Students must bring a yoga mat and water bottle to every class. Optional props (provided by students) include: a towel for padding, yoga blocks and a yoga strap.
