Instructional Tennis Classes
For adults and high school students, and include technical instruction, drills, games and match play. Please read the player level descriptions below carefully to place yourself in the correct instructional class. Registered participants may check out a loaner tennis racquet from the office one week prior to start of class.
Beginner: little or no experience; will learn basic stroke mechanics of forehand, backhand, volley, serve; footwork, rules, and scoring. Advanced Beginner: can briefly rally the ball with forehand and backhand, can serve over net; will review and improve groundstrokes, volleys, serve, footwork and learn overheads and approach shots. Intermediate: can rally from the baseline fairly consistently, feels somewhat comfortable at net hitting volleys and overheads, serves fairly consistently; will work on perfecting all strokes, confidence and consistency, as well as approaching the net and game strategy.
Men's and Women's Clinics
For NTRP levels 2.5-3.5. Continue developing your game. Sunday outdoor clinics include minimal instruction with drilling and coaching, the majority of time is spent playing matches. Day clinics have more drilling and instruction with match play.
Players Clinic
For advanced players, NTRP 3.5 and up. Instructor's permission required.
