Description

Grades: 9th - Adult. This class is designed for the beginning ukulele player. No musical background is needed to learn this fun and simple instrument. Learn the basics--how to hold and tune the instrument, strum patterns, and chords and you will be playing songs in no time! Bring your own ukulele. Materials fee ($5, cash only) due to the instructor at the first class. Per current AAPS policy, all participants and staff will need to wear masks while indoors. Instructor: Betsy Beckerman is a local Ann Arborite whom you may have met at the library as a storytime musician, at the hospital, as a bedside musician, or at various venues playing with her band, the Ukulele Party. She's excited about teaching this class to introduce folks to the fun of playing the cheerful and versatile ukulele. 5 classes. No class 2/21.
