Description

Ages 7-10. Young artists will build colorful, creative images by using colored papers, shapes, and painted papers. We will sketch tree forms together and add color to depict specific times of day and creative foliage. Experimentation and creativity are encouraged! All supplies will be provided. Please make sure each child has a mask with them and wear weather-appropriate clothing to the class. Class will follow state requirements and CDC guidelines. Instructor: Janet Szeto. 1 class.


Meet the Instructor:

Ms. Janet Szeto is currently a middle and high school art teacher at The Roeper School in Birmingham. She has been teaching for more than 15 years, working in public and private school settings. She loves working with kids and finding opportunities to meet new people. She holds a painting degree from Rutgers University and a Masters in Art Education degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Janet’s favorite art areas include painting, printmaking, drawing, and collage.

  • OUTDOORS: Masks are not required unless social distancing can't be maintained, which will be at the discretion of the instructor.
  • Tuesday, 6/22 can be used as “rain date” make-up, if needed.
