Winter Adventure is a one-time event held outside at the green space at Burns Park Elementary on Wednesday, February 10th from 1:30pm to 2:15pm for PreK through 5th grade students from all AAPS schools. Winter Adventure will be running these one-time events at schools throughout the district. We will divide the kids by grade levels for age appropriateness when necessary.
Winter Adventure is designed to keep kids active through fun activities. Our goal is to provide a fun and safe opportunity for your child to be active and social.
Ann Arbor Rec & Ed staff will lead the activities for the Winter Adventure Program.
Measures to ensure player safety, and what to expect.
Classes will require social distancing of participants, staff and parents.
Participants, Parents, Rec & Ed Staff are required to wear a mask at all times.
There will be a maximum of 25 participants.
Participants please bring a water bottle labeled with their first and last name on it.
Participants/parents should screen themselves for COVID-19 symptoms and possible exposure prior to attending. If your player enrolls, we will send you the screening form.
Please be mindful of social distancing during drop off and pick up.
Parents and all non-participants are not allowed in the field of play.
Please be prepared for colder weather; participants should be dressed warmly with mittens, hats, coats, etc.
Due to COVID-19 Protocols there will be no late registration or drop ins.
All in-person programs are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather and an influx in the number of Covid-19 cases throughout the community.
Temperatures or wind chill that are below 0 degrees Fahrenheit will result in Winter Adventure being cancelled.
