This is an at home, work at your own pace program that takes place between the dates of 2/4-2/25 and includes weekly interactive meetings with Nutty Scientists instructors on Thursdays, 3:45-4:15pm.

Supply pick-up will be:
Thursday, Jan. 28th, 3:30pm-4:30pm at the Rec&Ed parking lot.
Or
Friday, Jan. 29th, 4:30pm-5:30pm at the Rec&Ed parking lot.

Description: 

Grades 1st-5th. Explore the wonders of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) like never before with Nutty Scientists! Investigate multiple mind-blowing amazing air experiments, awesome polymers, sneaky spy science, a crazy bridge building challenge, Nutty Science facts, and so much more! The program includes a Supply Kit with all the supplies necessary to complete the weekly activities, written and video instruction for all activities, and a weekly Zoom meeting. 4 weeks.

Focus of Each Week:

  • Amazing Air – Explore the super powers of air with multiple mind-blowing air experiments
  • Polymers – Students learn about atoms, molecules and polymers and get to experiment with multiple types of polymers
  • Spy Science – Learn to communicate like a SPY with the power of science!
  • Bridge Challenge – Design and build a bridge that can hold over 100 pennies! But, you can only use our “Nutty” supplies!

Notes:
Please note, this is a hybrid program that does have virtual/online components that require access to a computer, tablet, or smart phone. To fully participate, you will need access to the internet during your chosen weekly meeting times. You will need a built in camera/microphone on your device or a webcam if you'd like to communicate directly with the instructor.
