HANDS ON Satisfy your cravings for really beautiful and tasty sushi. This is an intermediate class for those who have made sushi before. Join Chef Tom in this fun, hands-on class starting with a spider roll, a spicy tuna crunch roll and a tempura shrimp roll. Bring a sharp knife and cutting board. You may also want to bring a take home container for your creations. Scholarship recipients pay $20. Instructor: Chef Tom Lin. 1 class.
Biography:Chef Tom Lin was born in Taiwan but he grew up in the Ann Arbor area. Cooking is his passion and he has over 30 years of experience specializing in Chinese, Thai, and Japanese cuisines. He has won numerous awards for his cooking and restaurant management. He owns and manages three restaurants in southeast Michigan. Chef Tom looks forward to sharing his knowledge and skills with Rec&Ed students. He possesses a vast knowledge of the Asian culture and delights in sharing anecdotal explanations and stories that tie into his dishes.
