Explore
the organic art of casting in this hands-on course! You’ll learn how to
transform wax models into stunning metal creations through the ancient method
of lost wax casting. The class begins with instruction on shaping and carving
wax (both hot and cold techniques) to design unique jewelry pieces. All basic
materials are included in the course fee, and each student will receive a
2.5-inch casting flask for their wax models. Students are responsible for
purchasing sterling silver - this will be will be discussed in the first
class. Castings will be done by the instructor, making this course
beginner-friendly. The Jewelry Studio is located upstairs at the Sharon Art
Studio.
