In this
class we will explore various ways of drawing with ink. From loose and
energetic lines to controlled mark making you will find out how to creatively
use this iconic medium. The instructor will give demos in how to effectively
use line weight, various methods to create tone and how to represent texture.
The instructor will also bring various types of pens to demonstrate the kind
of marks they make. (Students are required to have only one type of pen for
drawing in class.) We will draw from still life set-ups and photos of
landscapes and urban scenes. Students are responsible for bringing their own
