Description

Ages 16 and older. In this 18-hour class learn rigging, sailing theory, water safety, tack, jibe, capsize recovery, and more. Plan to bring a change of clothes and a towel to each class. We teach in small sailboats (Vanguard 15's and Lasers) and you will get wet. Instructional sailing books are included in the cost of the course. ***This course requires a float test taken prior to class. The float test cannot be taken at the Rowing Center but are available at our pools, www.seattle.gov/parks/pools.asp Alert: Bring and a change of clothes, towel and lunch to each class. Dress for weather; rain or shine. Wear soft, comfortable clothing, you will get wet! Footwear must be worn at all times.
