Learn how to make a beautiful and functional coiled basket made from items found in your home. Using yarn or fabric strips, create a small trivet, tray, or basket to hold your precious bobbles. Upcycle your scrap yarns or thrifted fabric ripped into strips and form your basket in this four week long informative class.
Supplies not included. Students will need to supply their own materials listed below:
- Rope, cordage (like window sash cord), or clothes line - approximately 3-10 yards
- A metal or plastic yarn needle with a wide eye
- Fabric strips that are thin enough to fit through a yarn needle.
- various yarns, optional: embroidery threads
