PC Summer LIFE - Mount St. Helens Ape Caves

Summer LIFE is travelling to the Mount St. Helens Ape Caves to hike through one of the longest basalt flow lava tubes in North America. There are multiple tubes to hike through with the upper spanning 2.5 miles and the lower 1.5 miles. We will be exploring the lava tubes and one of the many visitor centers at Mount St. Helens if time permits.

Where: Pick up/drop off @ Sprinker Recreation Center - 521 Miliary Rd South, Tacoma, WA 98444

What to bring: Close-toed shoes, flashlights and head lamps (some will be available to borrow), warm clothing (the caves stay below 45 degrees year-round), sack lunch and a water bottle.

Reminder: We will be departing no later than 8:05am and returning to Sprinker by 5pm.
