Description

Meadowlark Melodies: A Morning Tea & Sound Experience

Embrace the stillness of the morning and ease into your day with a nourishing blend of sound meditation, mindful nature connection, and refreshing tea. In the serene setting of Meadowlark Botanical Gardens, we’ll enjoy an immersive journey of sound meditation, sensory nature connection, and locally-sourced tea. Join Toni Kim (Inner Sound Collective) and Ilana Rubin (Kindred Nature) for this refreshing morning experience to slow down, find inner harmony, and welcome the day with clarity, calm, and connection. All adults are welcome. Registration required.

About Sound Meditation and Nature Therapy

This experience integrates the practices of sound meditation and nature therapy. In sound meditation, therapeutic soundscapes support you in releasing tension, restoring balance, and reconnecting with your inner stillness—while attuning to the natural harmony that surrounds you. Nature therapy, also known as forest therapy or forest bathing, draws inspiration from the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku. Through mindful and sensory nature connection invitations, we create space to reconnect—with nature, with ourselves, and with each other. This practice helps us rediscover our sense of belonging within the natural world and our community. Research shows that nature therapy naturally reduces stress, restores focus, boosts creativity and mood, and supports immune health.

Your Experience

During our time together, you'll be invited to:

  • Connect with yourself and nature as you begin the morning with renewed energy
  • Experience the soothing resonance of singing bowls, chimes, and drums
  • Awaken each of your senses through nature connection invitations
  • Reflect and share in a warm-hearted group
  • Close with tea, light snacks, and gratitude

We may walk about a mile or less at a relaxing pace, on a mix of terrain that can include both paved and unpaved paths. Every invitation is adaptable, and no experience or special skills are needed. Whether you're new to these practices or have joined us before, you're warmly welcomed to this experience.
