Description
Recommended for children ages 5-12. Children up to age 15 are welcome to participate. Each child should be registered individually, adult participating with child does not need to register for this activity. Go with your child on a journey of discovery with YMCA Adventure Guides. The program allows parent/guardian to spend one-on-one time with their child in a fun environment. Its purpose is to foster a strong parent-child relationship through quality time spent together.
Adventure Guides provides opportunities for families to engage in activities that promote nature, family, fun, and community. Small groups, called Circles, of parent/guardian-child pairs meet on a regular basis once a month, September-June. Each season (Fall, Winter and Spring) Circles should complete a service project, attend a campout at Fairview Lake YMCA, and gather at someone’s home or go on an outing.
