Description
(Age 11-14) Join us for a 4-day afterschool program brought to you by The Foss Waterway Seaport and Metro Parks Tacoma - Outdoor Adventures. This is an exciting opportunity to explore the ecosystem of the Puget Sound from a kayak and in the lab! Students will learn the foundations of sea kayaking and learn about the Foss Waterway through hands on activities instructed by experienced guides and educators.
Program is exclusively for Stewart Middle School Students.
Students will be picked up afterschool at 2:15 PM by Metro Parks Tacoma staff and returned to school for pick-up at 4:45 PM.
We experience high turnover in this program, so even if the program is full, we would suggest registering for the waitlist!

Notes
- Program is exclusively for Stewart Middle School Students.
- Online ePACT form must be completed prior to program start. After registration, please check your email for an invite to complete this form.
- This program takes place at the Foss Waterway Seaport. Transportation provided by Metro Parks Tacoma to and from the Seaport.
- All equipment is provided.
- Ability to swim is not required. All participants are required to wear a Personal Floatation Device (PFD aka "Life Jacket") at all times while on the dock and paddling.
- This program will be offered at all 12 Tacoma Middle Schools. Please only register your child for the program offered at the school they are attending. Students registered for a program for a school they are not attending will be withdrawn!
