Description
Beginning with a lecture on the fundamentals of surfing, you will learn from experienced instructors about topics such as tides, swells, currents, surf conditions, proper equipment, terminology, and etiquette. You will then take that knowledge and put it to practical use by charging the waves of Mission Beach. Each week you will see yourself improve with more practice with our experienced instructors.

Cancellation/Refund Policy
Customers can receive a full refund or transfer to another class with 48 hours notice prior to the start of class. Without 48 hours cancellation notice no refund or transfer will be provided.

This class requires successful completion of a swim assessment consisting of a 50 meter swim and treading water comfortably in the bay.
This class is only open to currently registered SDSU students. Students must be registered through the university. All class information and assignments will be shared through Canvas, which you will be able to access after enrolling.
Classes meet off campus at Mission Bay Aquatic Center.
