Description

String Orchestra at Silver Spring, Sinfonietta I, is a continuation of Beginner I and II. Open to string students (violin, viola, cello, bass) who have begun their musical journey and can play on all four strings, using four fingers in the first position. Our rehearsals will focus on performance and the development of ensemble skills with significant emphasis on the development of individual techniques relating to each instrument (violin, viola, or cello). In addition to full- ensemble coaching, there will be occasional sectionals. Two concerts are presented each year.

For all new students to the program, please follow this link to sign up for an initial placement interview: https://levine.formstack.com/forms/beginner_string_orchestra_interview_signup
