Description

Is your young musician ready to play a fun and easy-to-learn instrument? Ukulele is perfect for kids looking to jump right into the world of making music!

This rewarding 15-week class gets kids playing tunes from the very first day. By the end of the session, we’ll be able to perform a variety of fun songs. You will be amazed at how quickly your kids will pick up this fun, portable instrument. No previous knowledge or experience is necessary--just bring your ukulele and get ready for fun!

We’ll learn:

  • Basic chords
  • Strumming patterns
  • Simple melodies
  • The building blocks of music
  • Note reading

Please note: If you register at least two weeks before the start of class, you can ask Levine to provide a ukulele which you can keep at the conclusion of the class. All other participants must provide their own instruments tuned to G-C-E-A.

For more information, please contact Mia Pomerantz, Guitar Department Chair at mpomerantz@levinemusic.org.

If you’ve already finished this class, keep learning by signing up for private lessons.
