Description

Level: Suzuki Book 2-4 or equivalent, knowledge of 2 octave scales, fluent music reading, comfort with complex rhythms.

This ensemble is a continuation of the Sinfonietta Orchestra and focuses on further preparing repertoire for performance while developing ensemble skills. We'll work together as a group in a collaborative approach with the Director. In addition to full ensemble coaching, we'll also work in smaller groups for sectional time with expert faculty each week and continue to perfect individual technique (violin, viola, or cello) while exploring basic music theory concepts. Students who did not participate in the Sinfonietta Orchestra last year are welcome to enroll upon approval of the instructor and are required to attend a placement interview with the following link: https://levine.formstack.com/forms/beginner_string_orchestra_interview_signup

Please note: All participants must be enrolled in private lessons for the entire school year.
