Description
This summer performance group is for classical guitarists who would like to develop their musicianship, ensemble technique, sight reading and chamber music skills in a motivating group setting. Ensemble members learn to organize their musical ideas, refine their musical sensitivity, listen more carefully, respond to musical cues with facility, and work with other students in a musical team while playing fun music that is selected for the levels of participating students. The class will include an online learning component and culminate in an informal performance experience.
Going on vacation? Not a problem. Pick any 4 classes to attend (or come to all 8)
Participants should have a good understanding of rhythm, the ability to use free and/or rest stroke with ease and be able to read fluently in at least first position.
Please note: Students must have participated in private lessons or Guitar Class at Levine or schedule a meeting with the chair to determine levels.
