Description

This performance group is for intermediate classical guitarists who want to develop their musicianship, ensemble technique, sight reading and chamber music skills in a fun and motivating group setting. Ensemble members learn to organize their musical ideas, refine their musical sensitivity, listen more carefully, respond to musical cues and, work with other students in a musical team.

Participants must be taking weekly private lessons and are expected to show a high level of commitment. Participants should have a good understanding of rhythm, the ability to use both free and rest stroke, and be able to read fluently in first position with a working knowledge of upper positions. Two years of classical guitar lessons and recommendation of instructor are required.
