KCE REC SOFTBALL
Join the 2025 KCE rec softball league to develop skills and learn the fundamentals of softball!
Season runs May 19th - July 19th.

Softball is played on a T/TH/S format. We reserve the right to schedule any day of the week depending on scheduling needs.
SOFTBALL DIVISIONS
SOFTBALL SEASON
- Softball is typically played on a T/TH/S format. We reserve the right to schedule any day of the week depending on scheduling needs.
- Practices will begin the week of May 19th weather permitting
- Each team will receive 1-2 practices per week in May
- Games will begin the week of June 2nd
- Once games begin, teams may not have practice as fields may be in use for games
REGISTRATION
- Registration opens Wednesday, Jan 1st
- Registration deadline is midnight, Wednesday, April 30th
- This registration link is for Kenston and Chagrin teams
- Please make sure you register for the correct community
- A $35 late fee will be assessed to players who do not register by the 4/30 deadline
- No scheduling requests will be considered after the 4/30 deadline
CLINICS
- Pitching Clinics *new*
- KCE will offer structured pre-season pitching clinics
- Dates TBD tentatively May 2025
ROSTERS
- Rosters are divided by grade, skill level and skilled positions (pitcher/catcher)
- Players should hear from their coaches the week of May 12th
TOURNAMENTS
- Pigtails will have a season-ending tournament the week of July 7th-19th
- Ponytails will have a season-ending tournament the week of July 7th-19th

YOUTH NIGHT
The KHS Softball Youth Day is TBD. All registered KCE softball players are invited to attend.
COACH PITCH
(1st-2nd grade for the current school year)

This division introduces hitting a ball pitched by your coach. Learning, having fun and building teamwork are the emphasis while teaching proper throwing, catching, hitting and base running mechanics.
3-5 PIGTAIL
(3rd-5th Grade for the current school year)

This is an exciting year for pitchers and young players to develop a love for fast pitch softball. Pitching, stealing and sliding are introduced with an emphasis on reinforcing proper throwing, catching, hitting, and baserunning mechanics.
6-8 PONYTAIL
(6th-8th grade for the current school year)

This division increases the amount of competitiveness and fine-tunes the skills that were introduced in Pigtail Softball. Teams will have approximately two sessions per week.
