KCE REC BASEBALL
Join the KCE rec baseball league to develop skills and learn the fundamentals of baseball! Season runs May 12th - July 12th. Rec baseball plays on a M/W/F format.
REGISTRATION
* Registration deadline is midnight, Wednesday April 30th
* Registration cost is $150
* A $35 late fee will be assessed to players who do not register by the 4/30 deadline *
* No scheduling requests will be considered after the 4/30 deadline *
CLINICS
* Pitching Clinics *new*
* KCE will offer structured pre-season pitching clinics
* Dates TBD tentatively May 2025
ROSTERS
* Rosters are divided by skill level, grade and skilled positions (pitcher/catcher)
* Players should hear from their coaches the week of May 5th
BASEBALL SEASON
* Baseball is typically played on a M/W/F format
* Practices will begin the week of May 12th weather permitting
* Each team will receive 1-2 practices per week in May
* Games will begin the week of June 2nd
* Once games begin, teams may not have practice as fields may be in use for games
TOURNAMENTS
* Minors will have a season-ending tournament the week of July 7th-12th
* Majors will have a season-ending tournament the week of July 7th-12th

* 1st-2nd Grade Coach Pitch
* 3rd-4th Grade Minors
* 5th-6th Grade Majors
COACHES ARE NEEDED

YOUTH NIGHT
The KHS Baseball Program Youth Night is TBD. All registered KCE baseball players are invited to attend.
COACH PITCH (1st-2nd grade for the current school year)
This division introduces hitting a ball pitched by your coach. Learning, having fun and building teamwork are the emphasis while teaching proper throwing, catching, hitting and base running mechanics.
* Coach Pitch Baseball plays on a M/W/F format
* Location is primarily Heritage Park or Centerville Mills
* Teams will have approximately two sessions per week
* Once games begin, teams may not have practice as fields may be in use for games.
MINORS (3rd-4th Grade for the current school year)
This is an exciting year for young players, especially aspiring pitchers and catchers, to develop a love for baseball. Pitching, stealing and sliding are introduced with an emphasis on reinforcing proper throwing, catching, hitting, and baserunning mechanics.
* Minors Baseball plays on a M/W/F format
* Location is primarily at New Hope Church
* Teams will have approximately two sessions per week
* Once games begin, teams may not have practice as fields may be in use for games.
MAJORS (5th-6th grade for the current school year)
This division increases the amount of competitiveness and fine-tunes the skills that were introduced in Minors baseball. Teams will have approximately two sessions per week.
* Majors Baseball plays on a M/W/F format
* Location is primarily Settlers Park
* The Majors division could also have some Saturday games
* Teams will have approximately two sessions per week
* Once games begin, teams may not have practice as fields may be in use for games.
