Kenston Youth Tackle Football - Mighty Mites (1st-2nd Grade)

Kenston Travel Youth Football League for players entering 1st and 2nd grade in the Fall 2024.

Kenston Youth Tackle Football will be playing in the Great Lakes Youth Football League for the 2024 season. League games will be on Saturdays and/or Sundays.

* Deadline to register is May 31st

* Teams are made up of 6 and 7 year olds

* Player must be at least 6 years old on or before June 1st

* Player cannot be 8 years old on or before June 1st

* No max weight limit but player must be under 90 lbs with full pads to be a ball handler

FALL SEASON: July through October

1st - 2nd grade: Mighty Mites

3rd - 4th grade: JV

5th - 6th grade: Varsity

$225 Mighty Mites (includes practice jersey and other equipment except for cleats/cup)

$255 JV & Varsity (includes practice jersey and other equipment except for cleats/cup)

$40 Additional for Custom Game Jersey

* Game jersey is required for all new players

* Game jersey is optional for returning players

* Returning players can use last season's jersey or purchase a new one

* Returning players must bring last year's jersey to equipment fitting

***** ALL players must attend at least one fitting

***** Be prepared to give height and weight

***** Be prepared to run a 40yd dash

***** Be prepared to give top 3 jersey number request

* Sunday, July 28th at Auburn Community Park

* Varsity from 10a-12p (5th-6th grade)

* JV from 12-2p (3rd-4th grade)

* MM from 2-4p (1st-2nd grade)

* Monday July 29th thru Thursday August 1st

* Auburn Community Park 6-8 pm

* V/JV - 4 days (Monday - Thursday)

* MM - 3 days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)

* 9-10a Saturday, August 3rd ACP

* For new players only who are new to Kenston Youth Tackle

* Teams will be finalized Sunday, August 4th at program draft

* Teams will be announced at practice on Monday August 5th

* V/JV - 4 days per week, then 3 days per week once school starts

* MM - 3 days per week, then 2 days per week once school starts

* Practice schedules will be set by coaches

* Thursday's will be pizza night throughout the season!

* Sat Aug 10th or Sun Aug 11th - League Scrimmage Dates (TBD)

* Sat Aug 17th or Sun Aug 18th - First Official Games (TBD)

* Potential for Playoffs/Championship Games through October 27th

* MUST READ the concussion info sheet

* Must complete the Lindsay's Law training

* Must turn in player's birth certificate

* Must acknowledge the concessions requirement

* Note: All equipment is included, except cleats and cup

* Note: All equipment must be returned at end of season except jerseys

* Families are required to work two (1-2hr) shifts over the course of season

* Shifts include:

* Snack window during weekday ACP practices

* Thursday pizza nights

* Game day concessions at Bomber Stadium

We will use the same uniforms for the 2024 season. Returning players can wear their jerseys from last season. You will also need to bring your jerseys to equipment fitting to confirm they still fit. For new players, please note that the jerseys are customized to fit your player, with your last name on the back and a custom/chosen number.
