Adult Beginner 1

Prerequisites: None

Goals: Introduce players to the fundamental strokes of tennis: groundstrokes and volleys (overhead preferably as well and serve if time permits). Players who complete the session may expect to be familiar with some rudimentary tennis terminology, the layout of the court, groundstrokes and volleys.

Method: Each class should review and will seek to build upon the previous week?s instruction.


Adult Beginner II

Prerequisites: Approximately NTRP 2.0-3.0

Goals: Stroke refinement ? Develop more fluid topspin strokes and clean volleys with better footwork and movement. Begin learning how to implement strokes with live-ball drills and games. Expose players to the serve and scoring rules.

? 65% Instruction / 35% Live-ball games

** Parking**

Parking is located inside the Medici underground lot off of 7th St, next to the Sandwich Joint.

(1) Pull up to parking garage gate and press the intercom button. State your name and that you're a taking a tennis class. (2) A guard will buzz you in, after confirming your name is on a class roster (3) Walk across the street and enter the Medici through the upper sales office. Sign-in, and walk down to the tennis courts.

What to bring: Sporting attire, tennis racket & water. Rackets may also be purchased at the first class.
