Description

Adult Intermediate I

Prerequisites: Approximately NTRP 3.0-3.5

Goals: Work on hitting more consistently with placement, depth, and power. Improve confidence at the net. Develop a reliable first and second serve. Players should be taught how to play a set and should be comfortable playing tie-breaker games.


Adult Intermediate II

Prerequisites: Approximately NTRP 3.5-4.0

Goals: Players should already have reliable groundstrokes, so emphasis should be placed more on improving strategy, point development, and specialty shots (overheads, lobs, drop-shots).

? 35% Instruction / 65% Live-ball games


Adult Advanced 1

Prerequisites: Approximately NTRP 4.0-4.5

Goals: Instruction is minimal and players should be kept moving and hitting as much as possible. Drills and games should emphasize and encourage aggressive, strategic play.

?20% Instruction / 80% Live-ball games

** Parking**

Parking is located inside the Medici underground lot off of 7th St, next to the Sandwich Joint.

(1) Pull up to parking garage gate and press the intercom button. State your name and that you're a taking a tennis class. (2) A guard will buzz you in, after confirming your name is on a class roster (3) Walk across the street and enter the Medici through the upper sales office. Sign-in, and walk down to the tennis courts.

What to bring: Sporting attire, tennis racket & water. Rackets may also be purchased at the first class.
