Description

During this special time of year, the hidden winter bounty of nature is waiting to be “tapped.” Come out for a special, family-friendly event to learn about the art of maple sugaring – when the sap from trees is collected to make syrup. Enjoy a maple sugaring hike to trees tapped around the property, a cooking demonstration, and a tasting including local syrups from Tonoloway Farm in Highland County, VA. Preregistration recommended. You must sign up for a scheduled time. Times include 10, 10:30, 11 and 11:30 am and 1, 1:30, 2, 2:30 and 3pm.

Enrollment will close at February 20 at 5 PM. If you would like to enroll after this date please email mdowney@howardcountymd.gov and we will try to accommodate you.

$7 for Robinson member, $10 non-members

Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.

MAPLE SUGARING AND SYRUP TASTING REFUND POLICY: To un-enroll from this program call 410-313-0400. Refunds requested before 1/29 will be given full refund. 50% returned for refunds requested 1/29-2/12. 25% returned for refunds requested 2/13-2/20. No refunds will be given 2/21-2/27, or for missed programs.

Waitlist Policy: If you have been placed on the waitlist you will be contacted by phone or email if a space becomes available. Once contacted you must call and register by the deadline given or the next participant on the waitlist will be contacted and your space will be forfeited.
