Description

Enter the tasty and adventurous world of food and books using all five senses. Stories come to life as they are read aloud and explored with hands-on crafts and snack-making. Adult supervision required. Individual tickets need to be purchased for each child and adult. Advance registration strongly encouraged.

"Fry Bread" tells the story about how a traditional Native American food weaves through time and fills families with culture, identity and traditions. We will see beautiful illustrations of modern and traditional families and the author even includes their favorite fry bread recipe. Join us as we celebrate Native American Heritage Month with a beautiful story about families and food, and enjoy a themed snack and craft activity.

Adult supervision is required. Admission is $5 per person. When purchasing tickets, please purchase a ticket for each child and adult attending, as parents and adults will need their own ticket. Advanced registration is strongly suggested as space is limited.

Refund Policy: Withdrawal requests received at least 7 days prior to program/event start date are subject to a $10 processing fee. No refunds will be given within 7 days of start of program/event or after program/event has started. Requests must be made in writing to CaseyComm@gaithersburgmd.gov.
