Notes
This workday is at Herrick Lake Forest Preserve in Wheaton. Park in the west lot on Herrick Lake Road 0.25 mile south of Butterfield Road.
Bring a mask and water. If you wish, also bring sunscreen and bug spray.
Volunteers under 18 cannot attend alone, and no more than two minors can register with each registered adult.
Registration is limited to nine volunteers. Volunteers will work together but need to wear masks and practice social distancing by remaining 6 feet apart. If you are sick or have been near someone who's sick, please do not attend.
We'll have work gloves if you don't have your own and will store them the week before the workday to disinfect them. We'll also sanitize any provided tools before and after use.
Workdays cannot be applied to court-ordered community service. For these types of service projects, call the Forest Preserve District's Human Resources department at 630-933-7682.
If we need to cancel due to weather, we will contact you. If you need to cancel your registration or have questions, email volunteer@dupageforest.org.
