Description

Come have fun discovering the joys of birdwatching. This class will include basic bird identification skills, how to use binoculars and spotting scopes, and birding games and crafts. All ages are welcome. Registration is for a family (please let us know if you will have more than four people attending).

Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. It's never too young to start this life-long hobby that can be a family activity and bring everyone closer to the natural world.

Instructors: Nature in Flight Tours

Spencer Mair: Owner/founder of Nature in Flight Tours who has been birding since before he could talk! A founding member of "Bird Nerds" at OSU, he has contributed to statewide bird surveys, nest monitoring, bird-banding and various other research endeavors.

Paige Mair: Educator specializing in early childhood development and developmental disabilities AND a life long birder.
