Description
Learn to sew with a sewing machine. That includes how to thread the sewing machine, wind a bobbin, basic sewing techniques, and make some fun projects.
Class is taught by sewing book author, Erin Hentzel, who has developed this program and taught it for many years. It's both fun and effective in teaching all the basics, from how to operate a sewing maching to using a pattern and making beginning projects.
Students will complete a Seams and Samples Workbook, through which they will learn all the basic sewing skills needed to sew many beginning projects. The workbook becomes a handy reference for sewing at home, which fosters independence in sewing.
The two projects included a patchwork pillow and drawstring bag.
Class One: Learn all about the machine, threading, operating, and sewing techniques, as they make samples for their workbook
Class Two: Continue learning skills in workbook and make a patchwork pillow
Class Three: Continue learning skills in workbook and make a drawstring bag
No experience or supplies needed. Materials ($40) included in registration fee.
