J@MS Ensemble (Jazz at The Music Settlement)

J@MS Ensemble is a weekly program for students that immerses them in the energy and excitement of Jazz music. Musicians enrolled in the J@MS Ensemble will only participate in Small Combo and Large Ensemble (Big Band).

Student will explore a range of inspiring and challenging material under the direction of our professional faculty, gaining valuable performance experience throughout the year at concerts and special events.

If this is your first enrollment of the school year (September - June) in the Center for Music, a non-refundable registration fee is due at the time of enrollment ($35 for a single registrant, with a cap of $50 per family).

The J@MS Program expands upon the Ensemble into a full-day immersion program. In addition to ensemble work, students will take classes in History of African American Music, Theory, and Improvisation. Click here for more information.
