Buffalo Trace Prairie (East Parking Lot), Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve, 6:45-8:15 p.m.
Join us in a search for the elusive wood snipe, AKA the American Woodcock, as the males perform their amazing courtship display at dusk. A short discussion will be followed by a walk to look for the sky dancers. Meet at the east entrance to Buffalo Trace Prairie on Rt. 47 / N. Lombard across the street from the Museum of the Grand Prairie. FREE. Recommended for ages 5 and up. Space is limited; registration required by March 27 at ccfpd.org.
