CE - Musical Theater Vocal Workshop
Event2019: Fall|#MU0711.319
Description
Musical Theater Vocal Workshop is a voice class like no other! In this performance-based workshop, students will have the opportunity in ten class sessions to pick up to three musical theater solo songs of their choosing, or by recommendation of the instructor, to vocally workshop these songs from the beginning learning stages to being fully vocally and concert performance ready.
Students will learn concepts of singing musical theater from picking the right song that fits their voice, range, and goals, and the different styles and sounds of musical theater singing. Students will work one on one with a university trained vocal instructor in a masterclass setting to workshop their songs through vocal technique. At every class session, each student will have the opportunity to perform their songs live with an accompanist for the class. Students will have the opportunity to privately coach with both the voice instructor and accompanist during the class sessions. This is a judgment-free and relaxed environment where our students are welcomed to grow into their performances.
Please watch the instructor, Chad Ruyle, explain the context of Musical Theater Vocal Workshop.
