About the Show: The School of Rock is based on the movie starring Jack Black, who plays as Dewey Finn, an out-of-work rock singer and guitarist who pretends to be a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. Dewey soon discovers the musical talent of his students and forms a band with them in attempt to win the upcoming Battle of the Bands contest..
