Discover how local innovation is merging agriculture with solar energy through agrivoltaics. Byron Kominek, owner and manager of Jack's Solar Garden and executive director of the nonprofit, Colorado Agrivoltaic Learning Center, will present the unique innovations at the Longmont farm. Byron transformed the 24-acre family farm from a monocrop wheat operation into Jack's Solar Garden,—a 5-acre, 1.2-megawatt community solar farm that integrates solar energy production with agriculture. This initiative has become the largest agrivoltaics research site in the United States.
