Genealogy Series: Family History Basics

Participants will learn research techniques and strategy on tracing family history. Learn about U.S. and local resources available for tracing ancestry and how to use them, along with methods and strategies to utilize in personal searches. Additionally, learn how technology can aid genealogy research. This course is designed for beginners.


Instructor: Mark Fearer is the owner of Ancestral Discovery and professional genealogist practicing since the early 80s.


Participants will receive a handout during each class and are welcome to take notes as needed. West Age Well Center can provide additional scrap paper and pens if anyone needs additional supplies during class. Laptops are welcome, but not necessary.
