"Pilates is a method of exercise designed to lengthen and strengthen the body emphasizing spinal alignment, center strength and muscular balance. This practice will improve posture, increase flexibility and create awareness of the body. Pilates is more than just exercise- it is a type of movement, a form of practice, a way of life. Come and check it out!" Also, a Pilates mat is use for support and cushion, so its important not to buy a mat that is too thin, preferably 1/2 inch (1.25cm).
