Description

Ages: 18 - Adult. Workshop Only. Imani Winds and Catalyst Quartet are two groundbreaking chamber music ensembles leading the way in commissioning, performing, and recording music by BIPOC composers while re-imagining and re-defining the classical music experience. Learn about these extraordinary musicians and a new work that UMS commissioned for the woodwind quintet and string quartet to perform together by groundbreaking composer (and former Catalyst quartet violinist) Jessie Montgomery. Registration includes a workshop led by locally-based content expert and light snacks. UMS requires all attendees to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 PCR test (please bring a hard copy or have viewable on your phone). Masks are required indoors.
